1. What made you decide to become a Caregiver?

Cancer/sickly people run in my family and I have always cared for my family so why not someone else’s family.

2. What does professionalism mean to you?

Dressing properly, respecting client information/ HIPAA

3. What does preparation mean to you in regards to your workday?

Being completed prepared for anything that could happen, dress accordingly, always have emergency contacts and info, always have a plan.

4. What does framework mean to you in the caregiver arena?

Purpose: Always having a strong, supportive attitude.

5. How are you meeting the needs of others as a Caregiver?

Always check the care plans for what the client needs, giving the client things that want and make sure they’re comfortable.

Attitude: Always be positive, always smiling
Mood: Leave all problems at home, come to work in a positive note
Motivation: Remind me that someone who can’t take care of themselves needs me
Job knowledge: Been caregiving 6 years, always willing to learn more

7. Preparation: How do you reduce risk to yourself and your client?

Play by the rules, don’t be risky.

8. What does proper attire mean to you?

Scrubs or dressing nicely. No ripped jeans, belly shirts, short shorts.

9. What does proper mobility mean to you?

Legal, safe care.

10. What precautions do you take?

Watch my client while they eat-in case of choking, always offer to help with activities/chores/hygiene.

11. What observations do you make when working?

Any changes in the client’s health day today, making sure they have everything they need before I leave.

Keeping negative opinions to yourself.

13. What does it mean to follow a care plan?

Not going against is and doing what you think is right by the client, always follow what the client requires not what we think they need.

Recording everything that went on that day, always write down every detail.
